Hi Daniel,

you have two things to do, to improve the result:
- create zones from outside to inside, p.e. for a double facade: create first the gap and afterwards the room behind the double facade
- calculate the insulation in order the radiation hits the zones: first insulatoin for gap, second insulation for room

The results of the first zone are the startvalues of the second zone.

Monika

Betreff: [esp-r] Solar transmission through zones

Dear all,

I would like to know how ESP-r models direct solar radiation that crosses more than one glazed surface, e.g.:
- when the sun beam crosses one glazed zone and is absorbed by a second zone, or
- when the sun beam enters the zone by one glazed surface and is retransmitted to the outside environment by a second surface in the same zone.

Concerning this issue, does it make a difference if insolation is calculated?

Regards

Daniel Cóstola
