[esp-r] Re: Type of windows and doors

A question about the USAGE attributes of surfaces...

Currently the only facility that makes use of the USAGE attributes
is for UK code compliance. Others might expand the syntax to make
it useful for other code compliance tasks.

The creation of air flow networks does NOT currently notice surface
USAGE attributes. We plan to do this in the future. Filling in
surface attributes could be a way for users to document which
surfaces are important in an air flow network they are designing.

Subject: [esp-r] Type of windows and doors

Hi all!

In page 42 from the Cookbook (latest version) it says:

"A recent addition to ESP-r is the concept that surfaces have a usage attribute (Figure 2.23). Code compliance tasks are assisted if we identify the WINDOW as a code compliant facade. Work is underway to use these usage attributes when exporting ESP-r models. A future version of ESP-r will also make use of an opening type attribute (Figure 2.25) to help form air flow network (currently they are only used for documentation)."

My question is what are the differences between the options in Figure 2.23 (usage attributes)? Where i can found more information about this? The help button (?) it is not a help for this case... And i have the same doubt for the door usages...

Finally, the opening type attribute is now implemented (i'm using Linux version 11.7)? Or it still used for documentation?

Thanks, in advance, for your help.

Regards,

Paulo Tavares
