The plan is to depreciate the cnn file in the future. There are several steps
that need to implement this change so this is a mid-term goal.

At the moment the info in the cnn file takes precedence within bps.

Subject: [esp-r] geo and cnn redundancy

Hi all:
I have seen some recent comments about redundancy in files and the issues that result.
The geo and cnn files seem to have such redundancy.

The geo file requires the exterior boundary condition and in the latest “tagged” format has two “data items”
I presume the final two “data items” of the new geo file are similar to the final two “data items” of the cnn file.

I presume that the bps likely uses the cnn file instead of the surface attributes section of the geo file.
Perhaps this could be modified to deprecate the cnn file?

Thanks
