Dear all,

I am trying to instal ESP-r 11.5 on a Mac Book with OS 10.5 installed. I
ve also installed the developer tools, fink and X11, but it does not work.

Here is the log text of the installation process ¿ Does anybody can help
me ?

Thank you.

Kind Regards

Felipe Duran

bash-3.2$ sudo ./esp-r_v11.5_osx_precomp.run

Uncompressing ESP-r V11.5 distribution for OSX (/opt/esru)........

This script installs an ESP-r 11.5 X11 or GTK distribution on
a Mac OSX 10.4+ computer which already has the X11, developers
environment and the fink environment setup and running. On a
PPC Mac this should run natively. On an Intel based Mac it
should run in emulation mode. NOT TESTED ON OSX 10.5

It includes ESP-r executables, example models and standard
databases as well as some helper applications.

You should run this installer with a sudo command so that
it will have administrative privileges.

The installation will be to a standard location, which
is /opt/esru and a link will be created to this from
/usr/esru if it does not already exist.

Note: this installer will also attempt to install a version
of Radiance for OSX. This may clobber any existing Radiance
on your computer.

NOTICE: a sample .cshrc file has been placed in /tmp
for you to copy into your own home folder in case you
do not have one. The command sequence to see if you
have this file is....

The command sequence to copy the sample file is...

The PATH environment variable is being updated. The .cshrc
file the path= line should include the following...
/opt/esru/bin /opt/esru/esp-r/bin /usr/local/bin /usr/local/bin/ray /sw/bin

and the Radiance RAYPATH environment variable has also
been set.

Once you have completed the install logout and then
login as a normal user and start up an X terminal and
invoke the tcsh shell via the command 'tcsh' (without the
quotes). This loads environmental variables.

Next issue the command 'which prj' (without the quotes).
If the installation was successful you should find
that there is a response '/opt/esru/esp-r/bin/prj'. You may then
start the Project Manager via the command 'prj'.
If the Project Manager application starts you no longer
need this run file and it can be removed.
If it does not start then you might need to look at
the .cshrc file in your home folder.

Please wait while the installer performs cleanup...ls:
