Dear Per,

as far as I remember, fseek is a Macro. Did you try a >grep –ni “fseek” *.h< in /usr/include ?

Mit freundlichen Grüssen / Best regards

Subject: [esp-r] Installation of Radiance for ESP-r 2

Dear ESP-r users,

Since the "csh-package" is not installed in an typical Ubuntu installation the "./makeall install" can not be initiated. I have included this package but when I initiate the "./makeall install"-command I get the following error message:

/usr/include/stdio.h:686: error: conflicting types for ‘fseek’
/usr/include/stdio.h:654: error: previous declaration of ‘fseek’ was here

and Radiance is not installed. I can't find "fseek" or matching file on my system or within my package manager. Does anyone have an idea what file to use instead of "fseek" and how I change the "rmake" command to match this file?

Thank you in advance and best regards

Per Haugaard

Subject: [esp-r] Installation of Radiance for ESP-r

Dear ESP-r Users

I have run into trouble installing Radiance v3.8 on my Ubutu Linux operating system. I want to use Radiance along with ESP-r. I have downloaded unpacked the file to /opt/esru/bin/Radiance and I want to initiate the command "./makeall install" as written in the README file. This gives me the following error: "./makeall: no such file or directory". The file exist in the ray directory and I have added the following path to my .profile -file: /opt/esru/bin/Radiance/ and /opt/esru/bin/Radiance/ray

How do I get around this?

Thank you in advance and best regards

Per Haugaard
