A recent question:

::Is it possible to assign a specific temperature profile to the external surfaces of a zone in ESP-r? and is it possible to do ::that by ground temperature profile in model context menu?

It depends on the frequency of the change in temperature on the 'other-side'.

If the temperature changes on a monthly basis then the ground temperature
profile is useful - you can define new profiles in the project manager under
the model context menu.

If the temperature on the other side follows a repeating pattern (e.g. such
as you might describe in a zone environmental control you
could define a bounding zone and use an ideal zone controller to
force the temperature of that bounding zone to be at a specific
temperature.

If the temperature change is measured at a fixed frequency you could
include this information in a so-called temporal file as a setpoint type
and then associate this timestep data to control a bounding zone
temperature to match the measured value.

If the temperature on the 'other-side' is a constant offset from
the current zone then you can include temperature offset when
you define a 'similar/dynamix' connection type.
