Hi Giulio,
when a CFD-calculation starts, you can accept the solution as convergend by the first time steps. Afterwards the convergence should be found automatically. In a 24-hour simulation the influence of the first minutes are negligible.
In general CFD has difficulties to convergent if there are much changes in the model and this is in the start phase.
Additionally you can reduce the time of the timesteps or/and change the residuals.
Regards
Monika

Subject: [esp-r] Double skin facade and CFD
Hi, i'm trying to simulate a double skin facade ( type corridor facade ) mechanically ventilated;
I use for a day period integrated simulate CFD ( conflation 1 thermal)
My doubt is:
If
Convergence has not been achueved after 1000 iterations
and I accepted it as converged solution
than the results are reliable ?
Thank you in advance
Best regards Giulio Benincasa
